PENTATONIC MINOR SCALE THREE NOTES PER STRING BOX SHAPES |
|
Three notes per string are the magic words - especially for minor pentatonic scales. Here are two very difficult exercises to practice the five shapes of the three notes per string MINOR PENTATONIC SCALE. The minor blues chord sequence has been used as a vehicle for both of the exercises - with an appropriate time signature chosen that allows each pattern to fit over one bar (measure) of music. Although the exercises have been shown first it would be wise to become familiar with the five three notes per string minor pentatonic box shapes before attempting to play them over the minor blues chord sequence. |

The shapes shown at the start and end of the tablature are for navigation purposes only and should not be played in their entirety - however they may be played sequentially as single notes. These notes act as a handy visual reference - especially on the GuitarPro5 fretboard. |
