The CAGED octaves method represents the next evolutionary step forwards for the standard CAGED guitar method. The application of the principles presented here will allow systematic memorisation and instantaneous recall of scales, chords and arpeggios which are required for improvisation and song writing.
Using these five octave shapes (rather than the cumbersome minor chord shapes employed under the standard CAGED guitar system) results in the ultimate player friendly memorisation system for the guitar fingerboard available today.
