A HARMONIC SCALE 3 NOTES PER STRING BOX SHAPES - RITCHIE BLACKMORE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN & SLASH

The HARMONIC MINOR SCALE only differs from the natural minor scale by one note
but this replacement of the minor seventh with the major seventh interval produces an
exotic sounding scale which brings to mind Egyptian pyramids and the Nile river.

The legendary guitarists Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen and Slash have all stamped their own individual
trademarks on the harmonic minor scale. BLOGoZON No.11 examined Slash's solo from Sweet Child O'Mine by
Guns N Roses which was in the Key of E minor (guitars are all tuned down by one semi-tone/half-step).
